Reports are key insights of the transactions happening in a business. For any business, be it a kirana store or a mega mart, sales is the ultimate end goal. Sales can be boosted by considering previous purchase patterns, while identifying the star product makes for a great selling point. Providing discounts to recurring customers who purchase in bulk can initiate great customer-business relationship, which increases the probability of their retention. All of this can be done within a few minutes if we have all the required data in hand. This is exactly where Zakya Sales Reports come into play.

What does Zakya Sales Report Offer?
In Zakya, there are a total of six customisable Sales report templates available, each catered to a specific requirement dealing with sales: Sales by Customer, Sales by Item, Sales by Category, Order Fulfilment by Item, Sales Return History, and Packaging History.
These reports can be accessed directly from the side bar, where the user can scroll to find the needed report or simple search for the same on the given search bar. In any business, routine updates are a necessity to maintain the flow of the business. For example, Zykler Mart, a supermarket, might have to update or share their reports on a particular date or as a recurring work habit in order to maintain their Sales records or their Inventory. When missed, this will create backlogs and unorganised business cycles. To resolve this issue, Zakya reports have the Add Temporary Note feature located in the bottom-right corner below the report header for each of the reports.
To access this
- Click on the + symbol next to Add Temporary Note.
- Add comments accordingly.
- Click Update.
- The given comment will appear on the footer of the report.
With these six reports, the user can choose the time frame for which the report is needed. It can be viewed on a quarter, monthly, weekly, daily or yearly basis for the current and previous time frame. Additionally, the viewing period can also be customised from one particular date to another.
The primary purpose of reports is to deliver crucial data in an organised format to provide the reader with a clear understanding and precision. Zakya reports achieve exactly this by allowing custom organisation for each column. Upon clicking on the header of a column, the insights in the reports will automatically be sorted. This will empower you with immediate identification of the key performing attributes.
Sales by Customer Report
As the name suggests, this is a powerful array of insights of all the sales done by customers. It displays customer data and the total amount of sales that a particular customer has contributed to. Along with it, the report is customisable with in-built attributes, including Journal Count, CN Count, Sales Deposit Count, Sales, Sales with Tax, and Sales without Discount. Apart from the sales information, the report also projects customer data. On clicking on the header of a column, the report expands and projects details including the date, amount paid and balance due. Thus, providing an wholesome chart of the sales performed by a customer.

To generate and customise a Sales by Customer report
- Go to the Reports module.
- Select the Sales by Customer report under Sales reports.
- Click the Customise Report icon at the top.
- Select Show/Hide Columns.
- Select the required attribute out of the available columns in drop-down display.
Sales by Item Report
This report delivers accurate metrics on the Items or products sold. It displays the items sold, the quantities in which they are sold and its price. The three unique qualities, which in turn fast-tracks the backend of business that Zakya's Sales by Item reports exhibit, are as follows:
- To find out the top selling product - To do so, click on the header; the metrics will be organised in an ascending order. With this accurate insight, you will be able to stock up the inventory accordingly.
- To understand your customer base - Once you identify the top-selling product, this report will give you insights on the customers who purchased that particular product. Thus, it acts as a basic cursor for target customer analysis.
- To identify contributing groups - As a business owner, you will have to manage both the front and backend. The grouping option allows you to understand and visualise the performance of your business from a Sales perspective.

To generate a Sales by Item report
- Go to the Reports module.
- Select the Sales by Item report under the Sales reports.
- Select the time frame from the drop-down button.
- Click Run Report to generate a Sales by Item report
To customise a Sales by Item report
- Go to Reports module.
- Select the Sales by Item report under the Sales reports.
- Click on the Customise Report icon.
- Select Date Range from the drop-down.
- Select the preferred group from the Group By drop-down.
- Click Run Report to generate a customised Sales by Item report.
Order Fulfilment by Item Report
As a business owner, converting sales is a crucial parameter for successful business. However, delivering the converted sales in a timely manner with precision is equally important. The product flow, from the inventory to the customer, is a reflection of how the operations inside your business takes place. This report is a holistic directory of both the impending sales action and the completed sales orders. Through this report, you will be able to identify the product that has been ordered the most.
Order Fulfilment report will equip you with two crucial statistics.
- The order status of a particular item.
- The demand status of a particular item.
With these insights, you can be proactive in term of stocking up the inventory as well as have a clear picture of the supply chain module in your business.

To generate a Order Fulfilment by Item report
- Go to the Reports module.
- Select the Order by Fulfilment report under Sales reports.
- Click on the Customise Reports bar.
- Select a Date Range from the drop-down.
- Click Run Report to generate an Order by Fulfilment report.
Sales Return History Report
For any B2C business front, order returns are inevitable. It is imperative to keep track of every item returned, the balance amount and the return status of the product.
Sales Return History report delivers a wholesome view on the item returned, its return status, refund amount and the balance to the refunded. This would help you to identify key parameters like the product thats being returned the most, customers who repetitively return products, the payment balances and on the whole, the complete picture of every item returned.
Once an item is returned, the item will be inspected and the status of the item will be determined by the business owner. There are three statuses:
- Approved: You have received the product and have initiated for a refund.
- Declined: You have received the product but declined the refund request for either of the two reasons
- The product received does not qualify for a refund based on the terms and conditions.
- The product received was damaged
- Closed: When the refund initiated is complete, the return ticket will be closed.

To generate a Sales Return History report
- Go to Reports module.
- Select Sales Return History report under Sales reports.
- Click on the Customise Reports bar.
- Select a Date Range from the drop down.
- Finally click on Run Report to generate a Sales Return History report.
Sales by Category Report
Any business, irrespective of its scale, will have an organised set-up. For instance, a supermarket will have its items categorised into groceries, beauty, home decor etc. This report will give you a vivid picture of which categories does the most sales. This report provides metrics by tracking the Categories, Quantity Sold and the Amount. You can choose a time frame, ranging from a year, to quarters, to months, to weeks or to a specific day.
Note
- This report is based on Sales Orders.
- The amount displayed is in your base currency.
To generate a Sales by Category report
- Go to the Reports Module.
- Select Sales by Category report under Sales reports.
- Click on the Customise Reports bar.
- Select a Date Range from the drop down.
- Finally click on Run Report to generate a Sales by Category report.
Packing History Report
This report delivers complete information on the packing history of an item. Once an order is placed for an item, the item will have an assigned packaging number and the order will have a sales order number.
Note
- To view the overview of a particular item, click on the package number of that item. You will be redirected to the overview page.
The packaging History report will enable you to access the packaging information of all the available packages. The report includes the date on which the order was placed, the packaging number, the sales order number, the status of the package, the tracking ID and the quantity of the item ordered.
Each item will be classified under one of the three status options available.:
- Not Shipped: Items that are packed and are yet to be shipped. This status is displayed in red.
- Shipped: Items that are shipped. This status is displayed in blue. A tracking ID can be attached in this stage.
- Delivered: Items that are delivered to the customers. This status is displayed in green.

To generate a Packing History report
- Go to the Reports Module.
- Select the Packing History report under Sales reports.
- Click on the Customise Reports bar.
- Select a Date Range from the drop-down.
- Click Run Report to generate a Packing History report.
